Meet Jack - this happy go lucky fur ball is one happy guy and if you like the class clown living in your house and making you laugh everyday - read on! Jack's motto is "Smile and The World Smiles with You!"
Jack is an athletic and outgoing Australian shepherd / setter/ golden mix – who gets along with other dogs and he wants to befriend all people and thinks that if anyone ever so much as glances his way - they want to pet him and let him lick their hands. He has an infectious spirit and a beautiful tri colored coat with the best speckles ever on his feet. He is a goof ball and his absolute favorite thing to do (after eating) is to play and run and play and run - so he needs a family that is at least athletic enough to keep up with him. His people will have a fenced yard and they will need a commitment to leash walking - so obviously a family who actually enjoys exercise. Jack is a joyous - happy boy who would cheerfully help you plant your garden if not kept adequately exercised and entertained.
Jack is one year old and he is still a pup and busy learning basic commands. Jack has been through puppy obedience class and did well but read the top of this bio .... class clown! He is highly trainable and will do just about anything to garner praise and affection and he will do it with a smile on his face. He weighs in at about 45 lbs - he will hit 50-55 as he matures. He is extremely sweet, affectionate and loving and he responds to correction well (as he smiles at you) - sometimes everything is a game to him!
He is house trained, crate trained, UTD on shots, microchipped, heartworm negative and on heart worm preventative. Jack's forever family will have another dog or two, a large fenced yard, be outdoorsy people who actually like exercise and who will smile and laugh with him. If you think you can live by Jack's motto - "Smile and The World Smiles with You" - submit an application as stated in the adoption process on our website and let's see what Jack thinks! While Jack gets along with everybody - we still prefer no kids under 8 - he is totally unaware that he can easily knock small children over and in his zest to be petted and loved on - it will be better to have older children around or at least some that weight the same as Jack.
