Meet Kelsy – this sweet little piece of chocolate is laced with some hot chili for sure!! Kelsy’s DOB is around the beginning/mid-April 2017 and she was pulled with her mom and sister from a small rural shelter. She is a Border collie mix – perhaps with Aussie and will probably be a medium sized dog as she matures.

She is a typical working dog pup– lots of energy, lots of fun and incredibly smart. She was a bit shy upon intake but now she knows – the world is hers! She does well with other dogs – big and small and she will play with anyone who will play with her. She can be a pistol though and is learning manners from some of the older ones who only have so much patience for puppies and she is taking it all in stride. Kelsy is almost house trained and uses the doggy door (at every opportunity – she is thrilled at doggy door freedom) at her foster home. She is crate trained at night and is almost done with her series of puppy shots and ready to start looking for her forever home.

This girl is no princess and would rather be covered with mud and flinging it and the dirtier she gets – the more she likes it. She plays hard with her house buddies. Put a bow on her head and she will rip it to shreds and give her a toy with a squeaky and she will render it helpless – give her a task and she will figure it out in a Nano second – always the first in line at cookie time! She is initially a bit shy with humans but is overcoming that quickly – we are very proud of her and we expect great things! Behind those startling green eyes is a very bright mind!

Kelsy’s perfect family will have working breed experience, another playful furry companion, tons of toys and chews, no kids under ten, lots of patience and the desire to train and work with a hot tamale. She likes it hot but won’t spill the beans on her preference – red or green….

Kelsy will be spayed at the appropriate time (and covered in her adoption fee), is microchipped, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on preventative. Her adoption fee is $200 and she will NOT be adopted out of the state of New Mexico. For more information and to start our adoption process – please go to www.enchantmutts.org and click on adoption process - complete an application and submit it to Kristi@enchantmutts.org.
