Meet Tatum . . . otherwise known as Tater Tot. This wee girl had a rough start to her life but has come through with flying colors! We think she is a mix of Border Collie with some Basenji and perhaps Heeler thrown in. Regardless of her heritage, she is quite the character. She is about 8 months old (DOB August 2012) and probably won’t grow bigger than 35 lbs. or so – the perfect size!

Tatum is an extremely intelligent girl who already knows all the basics and then some. She is so quick to pick up anything you ask of her and loves to learn more. She is always seeking new games and romping with the resident dogs (many times her size) at her foster home. Picking up basic commands at lightning speed, this girl is very adaptable and willing to please. She has a mischievous grin that sometimes leaves her foster mom at a loss of words. It is so appealing. Manipulator to the max but also very obedient, this girl just loves life. Tatum loves her cuddle time but also loves to instigate things and is sharp as a tack.

Active, social and bright, Tater is a delight to work with and has huge potential. She is housebroken, doggie door trained, sits, lies down, rolls over, waits for her dinner and we are working on leash training. She just soaks up anything you ask! She is ready for her forever home, preferably one with an ice maker as she loves to wait for "dropped" ice cubes - she's an ice-a-holic! She needs a family that will continue with her training and keep her mind and body active. As she is on the higher energy side, we prefer a family without children under 8, please, and that are avid walkers, hikers - outdoorsy and that include their pets in lots of activities. Preference is given to families with working breed experience.

Tater is UTD on shots, micro-chipped, spayed and on heartworm preventative. Are you ready for a challenge?
