You came into our lives almost 14 years ago, a puppy who ran away from her litter and wanted to make it on her own. When you were found on the highway, a friend brought you to us. We weren’t ready for a new child at the time, but we were unable to find you just the right home and so you became ours. What joy and fun you brought both of us over all these years. From a wild “thing” that wanted to stay outdoors those first two nights to our gentle and fine lady who preferred living inside. You were the inspiration behind the creation of People for Animal Welfare of New Mexico, a grass roots movement with over 2,200 people. We will miss you for the remaining days of our lives until we are all reunited at the rainbow bridge. Au revoir ma cheri.
